At last, I think we found Neo, The One who can be trusted to restore the 9 windows back to as good as when they were first put in. Apart from ALL the painstaking prep work and finally painting which will follow by myself. Not just inside either, outside aswell! That is only half the story with regard to the lounge bay as all the masonry paint needs stripping off. Have chatted to several blasters, leading me to conclude that this is not an option as it will damage the "sandstone" that lies beneath. Well, hopefully lies beneath as after hours of paint removal and expense, it may reveal knackered stone or concrete or a mixture of both which will then need re-painting!
Dad made a start on paint removal on one window today, his first job at Ox Rd. I took over and found wood worm in the sills, good job found it now as it can treated along with other worm in stair treads and fllooring.
Got padlock off shed, potential workshop for furniture restoration in the future!
Feels like slow progress as listed all jobs and workmen for the lounge, will form plan over next week or so to hget hings really under way.
